US-Rx Care Privacy and Mail Order Policies

What is US-Rx Care's Privacy Policy?

At US-Rx Care safeguarding member confidentiality and protecting personal information is a primary concern. We are committed to meeting or exceeding the privacy standards established by The Health Information Portability Act of America (HIPAA) as well as those required by the Boards of Pharmacy and the US Department of Health. We use current technologies and maintain high security standards to ensure that member's personal information is protected against unauthorized access, disclosure, inappropriate alteration or misuse.

By placing an order through this web site, you are agreeing and consenting to the US-Rx Care mail order privacy policy as described in the Terms & Conditions contract provided within the order placing process.  If you do not agree with US-Rx Care's Privacy Policy, do not place an order for home delivery on this website.

What is the mail order return policy?

By law, pharmacies cannot accept for return to inventory any medication that has been previously dispensed. Therefore, once an order has been shipped, the pharmacy cannot accept returns or issue refunds. If you have a doctor’s appointment scheduled in the near future, we recommend you obtain needed supplies from your local pharmacy until you confirm any prescription changes with your doctor. Typical mail order fulfillment is for 90 day’s supply at a time, though you can order less at your option.  If your doctor changes your medication, destroy the old medication and forward your new prescription to the pharmacy.  Any medication dispensed in error will be replaced at no cost to the member nor insurer.

New orders New orders are typically shipped within 24-48 hours of receipt of your order request and valid prescriptions.  All shipments are mailed 1st class using USPS with tracking.  Usual delivery time from the date of shipment is approximately 4-7 days depending on location.  Weekends and holidays can slow delivery at times.

Re-orders - As long as refills are available on existing prescriptions on file, re-orders typically ship within 24-48 hours of your order request.  All shipments are mailed 1st class using USPS with tracking.  Usual delivery time from the date of shipment is approximately 4-7 days depending on location.  Weekends and holidays can slow delivery at times.

To order a medication refill, 75% of your previously dispensed days supply must have elapsed.  Refills prior to that elapsed time require physician approval, for example if a dose change has occured.

Valid Prescriptions -  All prescription medications obtained from retail pharmacies and from the mail order pharmacy require a valid prescription from the patient's doctor.  Pharmacy laws allow for prescription medications to be dispensed based on the following prescription sources.

- Original (paper) prescription if delivered by anyone other than the prescribing physician.
- Faxed prescriptions only if faxed directly from the prescribing physician's office.  Prescriptions faxed by anyone other than
the prescribing physician's office are not valid nor legal.
- Physician's or their authorized office staff can provide verbal authorizations to the pharmacy by phone.

Note:  Schedule II controlled substances require original (paper) prescriptions be forwarded to the pharmacy and may not be shipped in the mail within some jurisdications.  Contact the mail order pharmacy at 1-800-438-2014 to confirm whether or not a controlled substance can be shipped to your home via the mail.

Destination Country - Laws vary by country regarding shipment of medications into their country for person use.  For this reason, US-Rx Care only ships medications to US destinations.  If you are leaving the country for an extended period of time, make sure you have sufficient supply of your medication (up to 90 day supplies) prior to departure.
